UK BORDER FORCE & THE EU FAIL IN THEIR DUTY OF CARE TO UKRAINIAN REFUGEES!
Two days ago I arrived at the Calais border with a genuine asylum seeker fleeing Eastern Ukraine where they are having a war with Russia.
What I discovered demonstrated GROSS NEGLIGENCE- and perhaps racism from our leaders towards WHITE refugees!
In this case I refer to one person I met.
Her name is Uliana Bashkina aged 20.
Not only was she suffering fro PTSD but she had not menstruated in 8 months!☹️
The Italians were also no good. They took her passport from her on arrival when she asked for protection...and then left her to fend for herself in one of Europe's most expensive cities- Venice.
No shelter- no clothing- no medical attention ...NOTHING. If it wasn't for the goodwill of members of the public she would be forced into prostitution or begging to survive the cold winter since she had no papers to work. ( The Italians in Their wisdom took them away!!! ).
After much protest and 6 weeks of it they finally returned her identification and we left the country for England.
But the UK BORDER FORCE were also not much good. They let Bangladeshi and African refugees into the country- but a whole group of some 10 UKRAINIAN REFUGEES were left outside in the cold. Refused entry. Why ? No passport or no visa to enter. Sent to Paris to apply.
Again no help from anyone. Nothing. 🤨
Why ? When legislators in America and in the Uk are sending billions in military aid to Ukraine and saying...
WELCOME to refugees from the war on TV .. on the ground it's a different story.
They are the back of the que.
Persona non grata. What do you think .. have they failed in their duty of care ? Leaving a young girl on the street to look after herself ?🥹
Not allowing genuine war refugees into a sanctuary country because they either do not have any documentation or do not have a special visa...👀 what do you think ? Is it racism ? Quotas ? Or are they simply just lying to us about helping the Ukrainian people ?
Europe is at war with Russia. Britain is at war with Russia. Ukraine is our ally. Not our enemy.
We should do more for our friends and treat them with dignity and respect that they deserve. Uliana lives on the Frontline of the war.In the East. The rest of her family are there.
She needs OUR help.
Like many who are fleeing the country.
One day they will return to REBUILD the Glory of Ukraine again from the ashes. Just like Europe once did after the Second World War.
She has dreams to become an evangelist and bring hope to her people when the time comes for peace. But with the shoddy attitude of the Italian and the British government towards solidarity to the people of Ukraine in their hour of need - I wonder if Russia has already won this war?
